Autocollimator

WRD Autocollimator

An autocollimator is an optical instrument that can visually make measurements of angular position. This is done by projecting an image onto a target mirror and measuring the deflection of the returned image.

Features:

  • Measures angle of reflective or partially reflecting surfaces
  • Measures radius of curvature (with close-up lens)
  • Measures angles within 1 microradian using video camera and PixelScope software
  • Can be used with eye piece or video camera
  • Combines a collimator and video telescope in a single instrument
  • Converts to an autocollimating microscope with close-up lens
