Products Overview

What is OpticStudio?
OpticStudio is a family of modular optical instruments built to work together. The group includes optics, mounting hardware, live image capture, and powerful image processing software. The result is a powerful "Lego set" for optical engineers.

Our products combine hardware and software
Although our instruments can be used with an optional eyepiece, their true power stems from the combination of precise optics and powerful image analysis software.

Available configurations
Most of our customers purchase complete systems, including optics, mounting hardware, and software. In some cases, our pre-configured systems are exactly what's needed. In many other cases, we're able to suggest a Customized System that will more closely meet a customer's needs.

We also offer individual optical instruments, including collimators, telescopes, autocollimators, and microscopes.

Our instruments are assembled from instrument modules. A 400 mm autocollimator can be converted to a 100mm autocollimator simply by switching to a different collimator lens tube. This change takes only a few seconds. Likewise, an image source collimator can be converted to a telescope by replacing the back-lit reticle section with a CCD camera.

Systems

OS200B

The OS200B is a classic, rail-based lens test bench, coupled with modern image analysis software. The bench is completely modular. Available options allow testing lenses with apertures up to 100 mm, and focal lengths as short as 0.5 mm. Tests can be done at infinity or finite conjugates. Both positive and negative lenses, as well as afocal modules, can be tested. While the base model is manual, motorized stages are available.

OS210B

The OS210B is a compact benchtop system designed for testing lenses at infinity. When used as a benchtop system, it can test lenses with apertures from 0.5 mm up to 50 mm. The system is modular, and it can be relocated to an optical table for testing lenses with apertures up to 100 mm. While the base model is manual, motorized stages are available.

OS300

The OS300 is a motorized system, designed for testing cell-phone lenses and other small, short focal length lenses. Lenses with focal lengths from 0.5 mm to 50 mm can be tested. Because the OS300 has three motorized axes, pass-fail testing takes only a few seconds. For a more in-depth evaluation, the OS300 can capture through-focus data at dozens of field positions in just one minute.

OS400

The OS400 is a motorized system, designed for testing cell-phone lenses and other small, short focal length lenses. Lenses with focal lengths from 0.5 mm to 50 mm can be tested. Because the OS300 has three motorized axes, pass-fail testing takes only a few seconds. For a more in-depth evaluation, the OS300 can capture through-focus data at dozens of field positions in just one minute.
